LOOK FOR THOSE CLUES :D!! ENJOY!! ❤️

Akira and the Crafting Class By Aileen Tran

On a chilly winter's day, Akira decided to treat her cousins Fei, Nari, and Sana to a crafting class at Lan's Crafts.

The girls were excited to learn something new and spend time together. They chatted as they walked into the brightly lit crafting studio, catching up with each other.

“How’s the sushi academy classes going, Sana?” Fei smiled. “Incredible. I’ll be promoted to the elite levels any day now!” Sana’s smiley excitement could hardly be contained.

“I’ll be transferring probably in the fall and I-” Sana was saying when they were greeted by their bubbly and serene instructor, Miss Lan Mai.

"Welcome, everyone! I'm Miss Lan Mai–you can call me Miss Lan, and I'll be your instructor today," said Miss Lan, walking in with a warm smile.

Sana’s eyes flashed with recognition. Her kind smile made her warm cinnamon eyes turn into crescent moons, glowing and bright, contrasting strikingly with her pale skin, obsidian strands of dark hair, and dramatic features.

“You look familiar, Miss Lan. Your last name is Mai?” Sana inquired. “Yes.” smiled Miss Lan. “I heard you” –Miss Lan gestured to Nari– “talking to you about your sushi academy, yes?”

Sana nodded.

“Well, my twin sister is the headmistress at Mai Asian Cooking Academy, you might know her.” Miss Lan's creamy pink lips twisted into a fond smile like she was reminiscing memories of her and her sister.

“Miss Linh?” breathed Sana. “Yup. That's her! Your name is?” Miss Lan inquired.

“Sana.” Sana grinned. Miss Lan’s eyes widened. “Wow! You’re Sana? My sister talks about you all the time! You’re practically her star prodigy!” Sana's grin turned supernova as she beamed.

“Now! Let's carry on, shall we? Make your money worth it.”

The girls smiled back, feeling excited and eager to learn.

"Today, we're going to learn how to imprint vinyl on clothing to make the cutest graphic T-shirts," she continued, as she showed them the tools and materials they would be using.

The girls listened intently, asking questions and chatting amongst themselves, eager to get started on their projects. The girls were amazed at how easy it was to create such cool designs.

Next, Miss Lan Mai taught them how to make elegantly gorgeous shadow boxes using rolled paper and hot glue guns. They all worked diligently, focusing on creating unique and beautiful pieces of art.

"Wow, I never thought I could make something this beautiful!" exclaimed Sana, as she admired her finished shadow box.

“Sana! You make incredible sushi that’s not only yummy but also gorgeous. Are you sure about that?” Fei praised.

"Miss Lan is such a skilled teacher," grinned Akira, carefully adding the final touches to her creation.

"I'm glad we did this today," chimed in Nari, grinning from ear to ear.

After the crafting class, the girls were hungry and decided to go to the cafe next door, Tiger Tea, for lunch. The atmosphere in the cafe was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and comfortable seating.

The decor was cozy and rustic, with wooden accents and a charming ambiance that was perfect for both relaxing and socializing.

The gentle buzz of conversation hummed as the girls settled into their cozy seats.

Fei eagerly requested a frothy and fragrant matcha latte, while Nari craved the comforting warmth of a rich taro cocoa.

Sana opted for a refreshing and fruity mango smoothie, while Akira ordered the passion fruit jelly drink.

“What should we eat?” Akira asked. “Lunch is on me!”

Nari grinned. “In that case, let's get triple of everything!” she teased. “I don’t know.” Fei chimed. “I’ve never been here before.” She looked at Sana, and she shrugged. “Me neither.”

“Why don’t we ask the waitress?” Fei suggested. “Good idea,” Akira nodded.

Akira called the waitress over and asked, “What would you recommend?”

The waitress, whose name tag read Hana, smiled. “Well, I would suggest the Japanese chicken katsu curry. It’s the most popular dish at the cafe,” the waitress replied, “and my personal favorite!”

“What is in it?” asked Nari. “And is it the yummy thing I smell?

“The curry consists of crispy breaded chicken served with a rich and flavorful curry sauce and served over steamed rice.”

“Why is that?” inquired Sana. “Why add the bread crumbs to the chicken?”

Hana grinned. “The chicken is coated in a layer of panko breadcrumbs because it gives it a crunchy texture and helps it retain its moisture during cooking. The curry sauce is made with a blend of spices, vegetables, and a roux-based sauce, and served in a thick and savory gravy that is poured over the chicken and rice. It's a delicious and satisfying dish, one hundred percent perfect for a chilly winter day.”

Fei grinned. “You sold me. One for everyone please.” she smiled.

“You won’t regret it!” Hana replied, taking up the menus.

The aroma of the curry filled the room, and as the dish arrived at the table, they couldn't wait to dig in and savor every last bite.

“The waitress was right.” Akira praised through a mouthful. The chicken katsu curry with perfectly steamed white rice was incredible and the girls couldn't get enough of it.

As they dug into their meals, they chatted about the incredible crafts they made and how much they enjoyed the class.

Fei said, "I can't wait to wear my new T-shirt to school tomorrow! Thanks, Akira, for bringing us to this class."

Nari added, "And the shadow box we made will look so cute in my room. I love how we used different colors and patterns to make it unique."

Sana smiled and said, "I had so much fun today. The crafting class was amazing, and the food is so delicious too!"

Akira beamed, happy that her cousins enjoyed their day together. "I'm glad you all had a great time. We should do this again soon."

THE END. <3
